Fix the Estate Tax to Keep the Forest in the Family

Fix the Estate Tax to Keep the Forest in the Family

The estate tax is a hot topic this year, with the current estate tax levels set to expire at the end of 2012.  This spring, Tree Farm launched the Keep the Forest in the Family Campaign.  We're fighting for a fix to the estate tax that works for family forest owners – a fix to protect our nation’s forest heritage, so that the cherished woodlands of today’s Tree Farmers can stay in their families for generations to come.

In this webinar, get a brief overview of the basics of the federal estate tax and learn about some of the tools available to help lessen the burden on family forest owners.  Also, find out how you can play a part in the Keep the Forest in the Family Campaign, and get the tools you need to be an effective advocate to change the estate tax for America's family-owned forests.  Please email Emily Marx at emarx@forestfoundation.org if you have any further questions!
