James has been the Vice President of the North Carolina Tree Farm Committee since 2009 and as a Forestry extension associate he assists NC landowners and natural resources professionals through educational programs and outreach activities. His areas of expertise are general forestry and silviculture, forest management planning and forest stewardship, forest soils and hydrology, GPS, computer mapping, and forest herbicides.
