California's Carbon Market - Panacea or Pandora's box for landowners?

Adoption of a California’s cap and trade bill (AB 32) has created a U.S. regulatory carbon offset market opportunity for non-industrial private forest landowners. With prices predicted to average greater than $20 per ton during the first three compliance periods (2013-2020), legislation could affect forest management across large areas. Charles will discuss his experience managing California Air Resource Board (ARB) forest offset projects at Spatial Informatics Group (SIG), a U.S. eco-think tank.
