About the North Carolina Tree Farm Program

The American Tree Farm System is a program for woodland owners who are committed to sustainably managing their woods for wood, water, wildlife and recreation. In North Carolina the state program operates under a Board of Directors comprised of a diverse group of forest landowners and natural resource professionals.

To promote the stewardship of sustainable natural resource management (wood, water, wildlife and recreation) and the benefits of forest certification through education, professional contact, peer mentoring and recognition programs.
