Indiana Division of Preservation and Archaeology (http://www.in.gov/dnr/historic/) – provides assistance in identifying and protecting historic properties, archaeological sites, burial places, and other cultural sites in the state.  The division’s archaeology section maintains a separate database for archeological resources: http://www.in.gov/dnr/historic/2824.htm.

Indiana State Archives (http://www.in.gov/icpr/2358.htm) – identifies, preserves, and makes accessible records (such as census records, military records, family histories, and various county, state and federal records) and other documents that can help you research your special sites.
