New Tree Farm Sign Available!

New Tree Farm Sign Available!

By now you may have seen or heard about the new ‘Certified Family Forest’ sign that has been made available for distribution. In addition to this sign’s availability to the state committees, ATFS initiated a pilot project in which order forms were sent directly to landowners in six states (OR, WA, MN, MS, WI, ME), allowing the Tree Farmers to order these new signs directly. While it is still too early to assess the on the ground impact, we do know that distributor Voss Signs, has recently been flooded with orders! In the future, we will develop a system so that landowners can obtain these signs directly. In the meantime, as Tree Farm inspectors, you are still the primary source of signs for your landowners. Contact your state Tree Farm committee to obtain the new ‘Certified Family Forest’ sign and/or the Certified Tree Farm sign.

Update: You can purchase a sign online directly at https://www.treefarmsystem.org/atfssigns

My mother-in-law has 40 acres of woodlands in southern Mississippi. My wife would like to get her a Certified Family Forest sign. Can you tell me how to go about getting one?
    Thank you very much.

I traded in a tree farm sign for a family forest sign. Why two signs? Why not just family forest signs which cover properties from which trees are harvested and properties like mine where trees are not grown for harvest....just beauty, enjoyment and all that goes with that like wildlife habitat? I favor a name transition to the Family Forest system....

Thanks for your time. Love the program!

Neighbors have asked me to remove the Family Forest sign I bought from ATFS.
I ordered 2 "Tree Farm" signs but was sent the FF version a couple of years ago. I didn't want to incur return shipping costs so I've tried to swap the uninstalled sign w/other local tree farmers for the simple Tree Farm sign but haven't been successful. I live among several small acreage plots & neighbors say my Family Forest sign w/the word "Recreation" on it causes passers-by to assume they can cross neighboring property to get to my fishing lake. Is there a way I can swap my unused FF sign for one simply saying Tree Farm?

My name is John Ochman from Munising (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan. Our woodland property has been a register Tree Farm (3467) since November of 1988.

When I became a member I was presented with the beautiful large Tree Farm sign for our farm. After the numbers of harsh winters our sign has deteriorated.

Would you be so kind to send a new replacement sign for our Farm.

I greatly thank you in advance & God Bless....

While searching the ATF website I’m a bit confused if ATF signs are still free?
Bellow’s an article on the ATF website from 2008 that states that the signs can be requested from the ATF inspector for free or ordered directly as a purchase.
The links in the article below have expired and I only see a for purchase option on the main website now.
