National Database Clean up

The American Tree Farm System is dedicated to maintaining the credibility of the program while minimizing the administrative burden that it can bring. Earlier this year, we began implementing a two-year database cleanup project in partnership with Edge Research. This project aims at reaching out to ATFS landowners and updating crucial data like contact, property and interest information.

Currently, outreach is being completed in Missouri, West Virginia, Georgia, and Kentucky. Landowners in these states have been receiving emails and mailings from ATFS asking them to participate in a survey to help update the national Tree Farm database. Having up to date information is crucial to best support our network of landowners. Those that do not respond to emails and mailings will being receiving follow-up phone calls, conducted by Edge Research. The callers may reference the name of the last inspector on record, to help jog the landowner’s memory of their affiliation with ATFS.

Mailings, emails and phone attempts to reach landowners are in progress in these states. If landowners have questions or concerns they can contact our staff at info@forestfoundation.org.
