Wyoming News - John Eschrich privated forested landowner becomes Tree Farmer

John Eschrich takes the lead with forested private landowners in the Big Horn Mtns and became a tree farmer to obtain assistance with sustainable management as he logs his forest. John wanted to utilize good forest harvest techniques for the best interest of his forest, so his grandchildren can enjoy his forest as he does. John is to be commended on his leadership in managing his forest with good forest ecology practices.

Local Rancher Named Wyoming Tree Farmer of the YearCharles' main objective is to manage for timber production as a supplemental income to his ranching. Charles' Tree Farm is a good example of how the American Forest Foundation (AFF) standards of sustainability accomodate the range and diversity of family and small to mid-sized woodlands, in Wyoming.
