2019 Fly-In:
Advocating for Healthy Forests
Last month more than 50 Tree Farmers, partners, and forestry
professionals travelled to Washington, D.C. to meet with their
representatives to discuss the importance of policy in support of
forest management. Issues such as effective implementation of
programs from the 2018 Farm Bill, disaster recovery, and timber
markets were all brought up to representatives. Without the help of
advocacy leaders, strong policies for family woodland owners and
forest conservation would not be possible.
Woodland Magazine
The Spring 2019 issue of Woodland
magazine is out! In this issue, you'll meet stewards of family
forests and learn how they work tirelessly to protect our nation's
woodlands. You’ll also learn about the work being done with the
help of partners in California to create new markets for landowners
and reduce the risk of wildfires. Plus, we’ll also give you more
details about how the 2018 Farm Bill will affect family forest
owners and forest management across the country.
