Presenter's Bio

Dr. Brendon Reardon

Dr. Reardon is the National Program Manager for the Asian long horned beetle program with Emergency and Domestic Programs of the USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.  The ALB program works collaboratively with Federal, State and local stakeholders in affected areas to provide direction, management, and helps with response implementation where detection of the invasive pest occurs.  Brendon has been with the USDA for nearly 12 years.  He has published several peer-reviewed research papers on insect ecology, resistance management, and integrated pest management.  When he initially joined APHIS, he assisted in the resolution of plant health trade issues with Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East, before joining the ALB program.
