My Land Plan

My Land Plan, our new website: www.MyLandPlan.org, is a website specifically for woodland owners that includes useful content to help you get more out of your woods.  You can create your own Land Plan where you can map the boundaries of your property, add features to the map and establish your goals and relevant activities you have for your land.  Finally you can create a forest journal to record memories and save photos from your woods.

Review Your Management Plan

Your management plan charts the course of your stewardship on your land.  But your plan is a living document, much like your woods.  Set aside some time each year to review your management plan and visit our tools to help walk you through this process.

Forest Practices Rules

States are required by the federal Clean Water Act to identify Best Management Practices to control surface runoff and other forms of nonpoint pollution.  In many states in the US, BMPs are considered voluntary for forest owners. However, the AFF’s Standard of Sustainability says that to be certified, forest owners must apply BMPs (Standard 4, Performance Measure 4.1). States are given the flexibility to define their own BMPs appropriate to the management measure and approved by EPA. Washington Forest Practices Rules :
