Colorado Historical Society – Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (http://www.coloradohistory-oahp.org/) – provides assistance in identifying and protecting historic properties, archaeological sites, burial places, and other cultural sites in the state.  The agency maintains a database of documented historical and cultural resources information that’s available to the public for research: http://www.coloradohistory-oahp.org/programareas/infoman/infoman.htm.

Colorado State Archives (http://www.colorado.gov/dpa/doit/archives/) – identifies, preserves, and makes accessible records (such as census records, military records, family histories, and various county, state and federal records) and other historical documents that can help you research your special sites.
