Tom, a fellow Tree Farmer, will be our keynote speaker for the Tuesday morning breakfast.
Tuesday Concurrent Sessions
This year's concurrent sessions will focus on issues surround family succession and planning, easements, forest management in a changing world, and emerging market opportunities, including Farm Bill programs, tax provisions, and carbon markets. Some of the concurrent session's presentations are now available online.
Wednesday on Capitol Hill
With a new Congress and administration there are many issues being debated that impact you as a family forest owner. Whether its new markets for the carbon stored in your forest or the biomass produced in your forest for energy, tax policies that affect your ability to pass on your land, or new regulations that prevent you from selling your wood for government building, all are at play in Congress. The question is, will your voice be heard in the debate? Only you can make that happen. Sign up as you register to participate in the visit to Capitol Hill to meet with your local representative on Wednesday, September 30!
Exhibits and Silent Auction
Find information on the latest offerings in forestry tools and services at our exhibit showcase. Plan to visit the popular Silent Auction, located in the exhibit area. On Wednesday night, a shipping company will assist winning bidders in getting their treasures safely home. Interested in bringing an exhibit or donating items to the silent auction? Forms are available! For questions about exhibiting or silent auction items, please contact Amy Yambor at ayambor@forestfoundation.org.
Banquet and Awards Ceremony
The Convention culminates with the presentation of the Regional and National Outstanding Tree Farmer of the Year awards, proudly sponsored by STIHL Inc.
